close up picture of the mole

This is the appearance of the wound after co2 laser removal of a mole on ear. It is very important for the specialist to determine how deep the laser should penetrate the tissue to ensure complete and permanent removal of the mole and its root, while keeping the wound shallow enough to avoid scarring after the procedure. This is very important and can only be learned through hands-on practice with real patients. It cannot be acquired simply by reading a dermatology textbook or watching educational YouTube videos

Laser removal of a dark brown mole on ear

This is the appearance of the scar a few months after laser surgery. The scar is barely noticeable. It is worth noting that not all moles on the ear have shallow roots. We frequently encounter moles with roots that penetrate through and beyond the dermis, reaching the level just above the cartilage. For such deep wounds, we employ a special surgical approach, which will be discussed elsewhere on this website.
